President Bush's national security adviser
said Sunday that the United States and its allies ''cannot allow the
Iranians to develop a nuclear weapon'' and warned that President Bush
would ''look at all the tools that are available to him''  to stop
Iran, Condoleezza Rice, the national security adviser, said.

Iran Warns Israel of Harsh Retaliation

Iran has
responded to regional and Israeli threats of attack by vowing to
destroy Israel if it attacks the Islamic Republic's nuclear facilities.

Public
relations head of the Revolutionary Guards, Commander Seyed Masood
Jazayeri, was quoted by the Iranian student news agency ISNA as saying
Iran would not initiate a conflict.

However, he said that in
retaliation to any attack Iran has proved itself to be "harsh,
assertive, hard-hitting and destructive".
