Over 50,000 anti-disengagement protestors,
who set out Monday on a three-day march from Netivot to Gush Katif in
the Gaza Strip, awoke from their first night in Kfar Maimon surrounded
by security forces. After talks with leaders of the Yesha Council
(Council of Jewish Communities in Judea, Samaria, and the Gaza strip),
police raised the level of alert to emergency. Settler leader Pinhas
Wallerstein told Israel Army Radio that the march would continue to its
destination.
